hygiene =)

i feel tt i shld be transparent and let the scouts know what actually went into their foods in sutc so let me share smth abt the cooks hygiene and someother interesting stuff... we fried fish on the first day, and one piece touched the drain cover while we were trying to drian the water... hopefully someone washed it before we fried the fish... then another piece fell onto the floor as it slipped our hands... once again hopefully someone washed it... de hong underestimated the depth of the water in the cordial container, and his hand went in as he stirred and since we onli had one rice cooker at first, we started cooking rice for day 2 one day 1... the quality of the rice was poor and so it formed blocks n stuck together. a block or rice fell onto the tiled floor in the canteen, but later on, it was not found - could it have gone into the fried rice? every small piece of sausage that fell onto the floor was gobbled up by SS, cos the SS lyked sausages... the knife tt i used to cut the sausages was accidentally left on the floor several times, after which it was wiped on a pair of shorts that might have had traces of prickly heat from the night before... i had fun mixing and beating the 60 eggs on the 2nd day dinner with my hands... we also had to use my hand and fish of a piece of shell that fell in it took quite awhile, but i succeed lastly, i dun rmbr any of the cooks showering throughout the three days... * we cooked all tyhe food thoroughly so the heat shld have neutralized thebacteria n stuff right... ** prickly heat hopefully shld kill bacteria n germs as soap does right.... *** there were cases of food poisoning, but no one died TtFn >.< |
